Today we went to Peek-a-Belly in Woodstock for our 3D/4D ultrasound. As suggested, I was sure to drink 64 oz of water every day this week to ensure better views of our little one. We went to Waffle House before and had some delicious waffles to get the baby active.
The atmosphere was nice - we were in a huge room with lots of plush furniture everywhere and a huge flat screen on the wall to view the ultrasound. The lights were dimmed and we sat back and enjoyed the show. I made a comment to the technician using "he" referring to the baby. She replied, "so it's a boy?" as she was getting ready to put the probe on my belly. "Yes," I said. As soon as she put the probe down, she said matter of factly, "yep, it's a boy". She could confirm that right away without even having to search around.
The baby was so cooperative during the whole thing - always with his little face in view so we could see him. A couple of times he had his little fist up by his face. Several times you could see him opening and closing his mouth. We even have one picture that shows his mouth wide open as if in a yawn. Because of the movement and the distortion it caused to the image, he looked like Will Smith in Hitch when he had the reaction to the coquille St. Jacques! It's pretty funny.
There was another couple that had an appointment after us and we overheard that they were there for their 3rd ultrasound because the previous 2 did not provide good images or views of their baby. As we were picking out our photos to print out, they were having their ultrasound. We finished choosing our photos as they were coming out from the viewing room. Once again, they had no luck in getting any good shots of their baby. The technician asked us if we could show them our pics and we said yes. She wanted to show them that they actually can get good images. The couple was stating that the sample pictures they had in the boutique and online were probably not real or were touched up. I felt bad for them that they couldn't get good shots, and I couldn't look at them as we were leaving and I wished that the technician hadn't asked to show them ours. But, it didn't take long to get back to being excited for our pictures - we have looked at them all day and watched the DVD again. I can't wait to see him face to face and hold him in my arms!
This is so cool! I can clearly see his features!
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful!! The 3D/4D ultrasounds are amazing! Lance and I were in heaven the first time we saw Davis in action.....such a neat experience. I am so glad he was cooperative. Enjoy all these little moments, as they will be gone in a flash!! :)
