At this doctor's appointment I had to get tested for gestational diabetes. This required me drinking a small bottle of "glucola" - it was Hawaiian Punch flavored. It wasn't the greatest taste, but I was able to get it down. It was kind of like a really sweet (medicinal aftertasting) Gatorade. I had to chug before my appointment and they had to take my blood at precisely one hour after I completed the drink. Also during this visit the doctor measured me from my pubic bone to the fundus (top of the uterus) and it was an excellent measurement. The doc says that this far along in the game the measurement should be near the same in centimeters as how far along I am in weeks.
The next week I received a call from the office stating that my levels from the glucose test were normal - no gestational diabetes!
