November 13th, 2009 - Boy or Girl?

This visit to the doctor would reveal the gender through ultrasound. I was at 18 weeks and very ready to find out what we were having. We were both certain that we were having a girl based on a gender test we did at 10 weeks called Intelligender. We watched the ultrasound screen in wonderment as the technician explained and pointed out all of the various features of our little one including the eyes, nose, mouth, spine, kidneys, etc. Happily, the baby looked very healthy and was well within all of the normal ranges for the various measurements. Finally, as we were staring at the screen she didn't utter a word but simply typed: I'M A BOY! I cried for joy and hugged Johnny. We were totally taken by surprise. Later, in the exam room, the doctor said that everything was going well with me and the baby and that I was the first "normal" patient he had seen all day!
